Red por la Ciberseguridad, in collaboration with FUNAX and with the support of INAI's PROSEDE 2023, will carry out the Workshops “Personal data protection” and “Right of access to information” for young women in Ciudad Juárez from September 4 to 7 in Ciudad Juárez . Access to information and the protection of personal data are tools that facilitate compliance and articulation of the defense of other human rights, so promoting the exercise of these favors the empowerment and autonomy of women, contributing to the fight against discrimination and violence of which they are currently victims.

We had the opportunity to have specialists who have worked on the subject for more than 20 years and representatives of institutions such as Amazon Web Services, UNAM, IPN, CitiBanamex, Foxconn, among others. It was the Basic Cybersecurity Manual for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSME developed by the National Guard that led us to organize this event. As part of the agenda we discussed challenges in hiring personnel, Internet fraud, security on mobile devices and networks, good practices for the protection of information, security in email and websites.
In our Cybersecurity Assistance Center for people, SMEs and Governments, we have a space where people, civil society organizations, micro businesses and governments can find advice on how to face a cybersecurity challenge, report or report an incident. Microsoft's Operation Aleph will train Mexicans in cybersecurity

Microsoft launched Operation Aleph, a call for a series of certifications aimed at two audiences: the general public interested in learning fundamental concepts of internet security and IT professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge in cybersecurity. During these sessions, topics related to how to identify the risks of technology at work, information to secure devices, detect and prevent phishing and other deceptions, protect bank accounts and cards, security on social networks and how to use information responsibly will be discussed.

Cybersecurity is increasingly relevant in Mexico and the world. According to Check Point, Mexico was the most vulnerable nation in Latin America with 54% of attacks between 2020 and 2021. Therefore, during the sessions aimed at the public, topics related to how to identify the risks of technology at work will be discussed, information to secure devices, detect and prevent phishing and other scams, protect bank accounts and cards, security on social networks and how to use information responsibly.

Microsoft will offer courses aimed at students and the general public who want to develop basic cybersecurity skills to protect their information on the network. The company has paid special attention to Mexico to provide these trainings, as the country has been classified as one of the countries with the highest risk of cyber threats. In addition to helping to resolve the gap that exists in the workplace, both in the lack of diversity; as well as in the number of professionals employed in cybersecurity compared to the demand that exists from companies.
Microsoft announced that it will continue its training commitment through the Operation Aleph program, in conjunction with the Cybersecurity Network. The objective is to prepare more than eight thousand people in cybersecurity, both in the workplace and in technical roles. The program began in August of this year and will run until March 2023.
